C. violacea var. alba (FLASK)
Flask of Cattleya violacea var. alba with 5 plants to the flask. Can be deflasked between Spring and Autumn, they will however need to be protected over the following winter until they are of a size that will manage normal growing conditions. Advice on deflasking can be found on our website link: https://www.tuckersorchidnursery.co.nz/pages/growing-orchids-from-flask
Images supplied are of the parents and an indicative image of a flask, plant sizes in the flask may vary depending on variety.
Originating from Central and northern South America, Cattleya violacea can be found on trees extending over waterways where there is high humidity. Water and feed frequently (almost daily) in summer, reducing only slightly in winter - not allowing them to dry out for prolonged periods. Grow with warm to hot temperatures.
